On-Going (Weekly) Events
Music
- Mondays: Bluegrass and Clogging at the Wild Wing Cafe in Asheville. A different band and clogging team every week.
- Tuesdays at 7:00PM: Various old-time musicians at Celestial Mountain Music, 16 W. Main Street Brevard, NC 828/884-3575
- Wednesdays at 7:00PM. Various old-time musicians at Jack of the Wood on Patton Ave Asheville, NC, 828/252-5445 (non-smoking)
- Thursdays at 9:00PM: Local bluegrass musicians at Jack of the Wood Brew Pub, 95 Patton Ave. Asheville, NC 828/252-5445 (non-smoking)
- Thursdays at 7:00PM - 9:30PM: Various old-time musicians at Mrs. Hyatt's house (chain link fence), NC 191 near Farmer's Market Asheville, NC
- Fridays, 7 to 11 p.m. Old time music at Old Fort Mountain Music. Free/Donation.
- Fridays, 6 pm. Traditional mountain music at the old train depot on Main Street in Marshall (282 S. Main). Free/Donation.
- NOTE: (Once you get to Main Street in either Marshall or Old Fort, you can't miss these events - just look for a crowd or ask anyone you see).
- Every Friday and Saturday: Dinner, Bluegrass Music and Clogging at the Wolf Ridge Lodge. Reservations required, call 888-689-1928. About an hour away, but worth the drive! Directions
- Saturdays at 8 pm: Saluda Mountain Jamboree, in Saluda, about half an hour from Clear Creek Cabins.

- April 13-22: Flat Rock Playhouse, The State Theatre of North Carolina presents The Velveteen Rabbit, Wed.-Sun., Flat Rock, NC 828-693-0731
- April 14, daytime: Third annual Black Mountain Musical Heritage Day. About 45 minutes away.
- April 14, evening: Annual fundraising concert for Shindig on the Green. In Asheville, about 45 minutes away. The Yodeling Ramblers are there this year!
- April 21: Appalachian Roots Festival. A day trip from Clear Creek Cabins, and a beautiful drive up into the high mountains.
- April 28: Historic Johnson Farm Festival, Hendersonville. 10-4 3346 Haywood Road, Hendersonville.

- June 3: Mountain Echoes . In Hayward county, about 1.5 hour's drive from Clear Creek Cabins. A wonderful all day festival.
- June 8 & 9: Blue Ridge Barbeque Festival , Harmon Field, Tryon, N.C.
- June 9: Bluff Mountain Music Festival . Hot Springs, about 1.5 hours from Clear Creek Cabins. A beautiful drive from the cabins. Free
- June 30: Shindig on the Green starts up. Downtown Asheville, about 45 minutes from Clear Creek Cabins. Since the green is shut down for on-going rebuilding, this event is more accurately called "Shindig on the Green in the Park" - held this year at Martin Luther King Park. Held every Saturday from July 4th weekend to labor day weekend, except the weekend of the Mountain Dance and Folk Festival and the weekend of Bele Cher. Starts about sundown. Free.
